CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
I volunteered in various helping ministries in churches for many years. It was during the time I worked as a debt centre manager for Christians Against Poverty that I began to feel that I wanted to train as a counsellor. I trained as an integrative counsellor with Tonbridge Counselling Service and I qualified at the end of 2018.
As an integrative counsellor I use a variety of approaches which vary depending on the needs of each person I work with. These approaches include Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt. I have also received training in creative ways of working and use creativity where appropriate to my clients.
I believe in the value and worth of each person and that we all have the resources we need to grow and make changes to our lives given the right help. I work to provide an environment of support and encouragement to help clients find the right way forward for them.
I am a member of both the ACC and BACP.
